There was a seven-figure reason to watch Dhahabi’s debut and the Godolphin-owned half-brother to Golden Horn did not disappoint with a neck victory in the 7f maiden.

The Charlie Appleby-trained juvenile was bought for 3.1 million gns at the Tattersalls Book 1 sale last year and stayed on best under James Doyle to deny fellow promising newcomer Dinoo by a neck.
