Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum appears to have a pair of smart prospects at his disposal for next season after landing a one-two with two sons of Kitten's Joy in the mile novice stakes.

Dawaam, trained by Owen Burrows, was prominent throughout before kicking clear of the field decisively off the home turn. His winning margin was reduced considerably by the sheikh's other prospect Khuzaam, who showed a striking turn of foot from off the pace to run on into second.
