Celebrations on the inside of the course tend to link to an Olly Murphy winner and the Warren Chase trainer will not be changing his race-watching superstition anytime soon after Itchy Feet proved a potential star in landing the 2m novice hurdle on his jumping debut.

Murphy enjoyed the best view of all, bar jockey Gavin Sheehan, as Itchy Feet quickened nicely in the home straight to score by seven lengths, following an authoritative bumper victory at Stratford in September.

High-profile meetings at Chepstow and Cheltenham this month are among the possibilities for the Kate and Andrew Brooks-owned four-year-old, and they expect the trainer to take a similar position on course.
