The broad smile on Daryl Jacob’s face said it all after Dragon D'Estruval provided the jockey with a comeback winner in the 3m1½f handicap chase at Ludlow.

Jacob had been sidelined with a broken hand over the busy Christmas period and said: “Four weeks out may not seem like a long time on the easy list, but it seemed an age and I'm delighted to be back with a winner.

“I don’t think I've missed too much while I've been away but it was a frustrating spell, especially at this time of year. Hopefully all that is behind me now and I'm certainly looking forward to riding Top Notch in the Grade 2 [Unibet Silviniaco Conti] chase at Kempton on Saturday.”
