Declared dead: Ramonex proves BHA wrong as he rises to the occasion

The Doncaster grandstand is known as the Lazarus Stand and there was a performance befitting the biblical figure when Ramonex came back from the dead to win the 2m3f handicap chase.

The nine-year-old was declared deceased in error after falling at Market Rasen last month and he put a wry smile on the face of trainer-owner Richard Hobson with victory in a qualifier for the Northern Lights Series.

"He's come back to life with a bang and now he's off to Carlisle [for the series final]," said Hobson.
