Silvestre de Sousa regained the lead in the Stobart-sponsored jockeys' championship after hoovering up the first four races with a 245-1 four-timer.

Starting the day two winners behind Jim Crowley, last year's champion jockey needed to hit back and did so in emphatic fashion, powering back to favouritism having started the day at 6-4.

De Sousa was last night a top-priced evens with William Hill, but he was generally market leader and only 4-6 with bet365 and BoyleSports. Before racing it had been Crowley who was the 4-6 chance, but he ended the day widely available at evens.
