Silvestre de Sousa narrowed the gap to Jim Crowley to just one in the race for the Stobart Jockeys' Championship after winning both divisions of the 7f fillies' maiden on a wet afternoon at Kempton Park.

The defending champion took division one on the Marco Botti-trained Raven's Lady for owners Heart Of The South Racing in impressive fashion as she cleared away from her rivals between the last two furlong markers, before being eased down towards the finish to win by three-and-a-quarter lengths.

Mario Gussago, Marco Botti's representative, said: "She did it really well. She broke alertly from the stalls and got to the front which was the plan from the outset. When Silvestre [de Sousa] asked her for more she just went.
