Darasso, a four-time winner in France, came good in style on his third start for Joseph O'Brien when posting an 11-length win in the Grade 3 Red Mills Trial Hurdle.

There was no talk of Cheltenham after the six-year-old's decisive victory under Barry Geraghty, but O'Brien was not ruling out giving the JP McManus-owned winner a crack at higher honours before the season is over.

O'Brien said: "Darasso ran okay in the Galmoy Hurdle over three miles here last month and dropping him back in trip seemed to suit. He also likes soft ground and Barry gave him a lovely ride. He didn't force him too much."
