Dancing Vega caps off fantastic week for Waverley Racing with debut win
The future looks particularly bright for Waverley Racing as the owners capped a tremendous week when Dancing Vega made a striking debut in a mile fillies’ maiden with an illustrious honour roll.
Manuela De Vega landed the Listed Silver Tankard Stakes for the owners at Pontefract on Monday and Classic hopes were sparked again by the similarly Ralph Beckett-trained Dancing Vega's four-length win.
Park Hill winner The Lark, Prix de Diane scorer Star Of Seville and Middleton Stakes heroine Beautiful Romance are among previous winners of the contest, and Dancing Vega was introduced into the Qipco 1,000 Guineas and Investec Oaks markets at 33-1 by Paddy Power.
