Curragh celebrations for Kavanagh after Corinthian Challenge triumph

Alice Kavanagh was all smiles as she pounced late on top-rated Vivat Rex for trainer John Feane to land the second leg of the Corinthian Challenge Charity Race series.

She left her challenge late, but ultimately it was perfectly timed as she overhauled the Tracy Piggott-ridden favourite Rock The World close home before winning by a couple of lengths.

"I've been riding the horse during the week and got to ride him on the Curragh, which was a big help," said Kavanagh, who is a student in Enniskillen and whose family own Kildaragh Stud near Monasterevin.
