Jim Crowley kept tabs on pacesetter Silvestre de Sousa as the pair went head to head and Crowley believes Thursday could be his chance to do some “damage” in the race to crowned champion jockey.

Crowley, successful aboard Roys Dream in the 6f nursery, takes in ten rides on Thursday in what could prove a pivotal day for the challenger, who trails De Sousa by two winners on 82 after one winner apiece on Wednesday.

“It’s going to be a busy double header and hopefully we can draw a few,” said Crowley, who takes four rides at Haydock in the afternoon before heading for six mounts at Chelmsford in the evening.
