Gavin Cromwell and Jonathan Moore warmed up for the Galway festival with a double which was brought up by improving hurdler Flooring Porter in the 3m½f handicap hurdle.

The progressive five-year-old was pretty easy to back at 15-2 and raced keenly throughout, tanking his way to the front turning in before shrugging off the dangerous challenge of Cusp Of Carabelli, who forced the winner to pull out all the stops.

Flooring Porter was recording his third success from ten starts and Cromwell indicated that he will now be aimed at the €80,000 2m7f handicap hurdle at Galway a week on Friday.
