A perfect piece of placing by Middleham Park Racing resulted in a good payday, as the consistent Richard Fahey-trained Indomeneo won the 7f conditions stakes.

Restricted to juvenile colts and geldings sired by a British-based stallion whose nomination fee in 2014 was £10,000 or less, Indomeneo set the standard on form and came clear by a length for Adam McNamara, netting the first prize of more than £15,000.

Tom Palin, representing the winning syndicate, said: "I spotted this race about two minutes before entries closed! It's a really good race and very niche.
