Cracking day for Sean Quinlan who finds three more winners

Santa was clearly listening to Sean Quinlan, who got the Christmas present every jockey wants – a stocking-full of winners.

He rode a double at Sedgefield on Boxing Day and went one better 24 hours later at Wetherby with his career-first treble highlighted by the Sue Smith-trained Cracking Find's narrow victory in the feature Castleford Chase.

Quinlan just got the better of a ding-dong battle with the Harry Skelton-partnered Marracudja and said: "I'm normally 100 per cent sure about a result but I was only 50-50 – I thought I'd held on but Harry thought he'd got up."They went a good gallop, which suited me as Cracking Find is a two-and-a-half-miler and we've outstayed all the speed horses. He jumped brilliantly and Sue Smith's horses are running well."
