Trainer Karl Burke may harbour some concerns over the wellbeing of stable star Quiet Reflection but he is confident that in Havana Grey he has a juvenile good enough to go to Royal Ascot.

All the better for a narrow defeat on his introduction, the 4-6 chance quickened in fine style to defeat Shay C by five lengths in the 5f novice stakes.

“He’s one of my best juveniles and he showed a great turn of foot to put that race to bed,” said Burke, who revealed that Group race winning sprinter Quiet Reflection has not been sparkling in her work ahead of her return to action.
