Corpus first winner of year for virus-hit Menuisier yard

A relieved David Menuisier greeted the Clive Washbourn-owned Corpus Chorister after she won the day's feature, the 2m Watt Memorial Handicap, under Kevin Stott.

She was the first winner of the year for Menuisier, who said: "We've had the virus badly. It has been a terrible time and I'm feeling rather emotional that at last we've had a winner. When this filly ran at Chester last month she was our first runner since the outbreak and she ran well to be second that day.

"She used to be very keen but she settles better these days and is improving all the time."
