Condon sent to hospital as Hayes and Blackmore escape after dramatic fall

It's probably fair to say that jockey Brian Hayes won't have experienced many highs in his career to the same degree as he did on Thursday at Clonmel, when catapulted several feet into the air after his mount was brought down by Redwood Boy.

The 4-1 favourite slipped up on the bend in the hands of Rachael Blackmore, Hayes' partner, in the 2m4f Carrick-On-Suir Handicap Hurdle, causing havoc in behind.

Thankfully both riders emerged from the incident relatively unscathed, while Richard Condon, who came down on Brideview Weir, was taken to hospital with a suspected arm or shoulder injury injury.
