Joe Murphy looks to have unearthed a decent prospect in Collaborating, who saw off two of the market leaders to run out a decisive winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Gowran Park.

Backed from fancy prices early in the morning into as low as 5-1 before returning at 12-1, Collaborating made up his ground quite easily in the straight having been dropped in by Gary Carroll and loomed up large alongside the protagonists.

On rain-softened going over an extended 1m1f, the Bated Breath gelding collared the Jessica Harrington-trained Castel Gandolfo to score going away, with favourite Gaelforce West well held in third.
