Colin Tizzard and Robbie Power: a match made in heaven

In many ways Colin Tizzard and Robbie Power are racing's odd couple. One is a dairy farmer-turned Gold Cup-winning trainer from Dorset, the other a son of a famous showjumper from County Meath, who himself has reached the pinnacle in the saddle.

Yet when they come together the chemistry is undeniable and where they are concerned, opposites most definitely attract.

Aintree has become a happy hunting ground for the duo in the last few years and, after Friday's success with Lostintranslation, trainer and jockey were at it again on Saturday with Reserve Tank in the Grade 1 Betway Mersey Novices' Hurdle, after which neither were shy in coming forward with praise for the other.
