Coleman makes it 50 for the season but dismisses title chance

Having chalked up 129 winners in 2015-16, Aidan Coleman made it 50 for the current campaign when winning the 2m1f handicap hurdle on the well-supported Kapstadt, but afterwards the rider dismissed any notion he could be a realistic contender for Richard Johnson's title.

Coleman said: "Things have been going well – Jonjo O'Neill has been good to me and I've ridden plenty of winners for him. I'm probably where I was at this stage last season, but I think Richard Johnson will run away with the title, and in any case I'm still a few behind Sam [Twiston-Davies]."
