Fooraat showcased her top-class credentials with a scintillating seven-length success in the second division of the mile fillies' novice for Roger Varian.

The three-year-old was shouldering a 7lb penalty, having scored on her sole run last season, but proved she was a cut above the rest this time as she made virtually all and continued to pull away from her rivals inside the final furlong.

The daughter of Dubawi, who is a full-sister to Benbatl, was given an opening price of 12-1 for next week's Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot following the triumph and Varian is looking forward to seeing what his filly can achieve.
