Chesterfield gives Sansom landmark win and County Hurdle optimism

Daniel Sansom and Chesterfield have a habit of bringing their A game on big days and a warm-up win in the feature jumpers' bumper has the conditional jockey daring to dream of Cheltenham Festival glory.

The partnership clicked at Aintree last April and then won the Scottish Champion Hurdle at Ayr, short-heading Zubayr, who was again his victim this time but by a comfortable two lengths.

Winning trainer Seamus Mullins will be hoping the £4,873 first prize is not the difference between winning and losing the Randox Health County Hurdle a week on Friday.
