Chester specialist Franny Norton on the mark again as Dream Kart scoots home
After his Glorious Goodwood success aboard Sir Ron Priestley, Franny Norton was back in familiar surroundings at Chester and his many supporters at the Roodee were all smiles after he delivered 9-2 chance Dream Kart with a winning run in the opening 5f nursery.
Norton admitted he was still on a high after the Goodwood victory and told Sky Sports Racing: “Massive, wasn’t it? But we don’t get a chance nowadays to celebrate these good days as it’s very busy. I can’t complain as the boss [Mark Johnston] is great to me, so we'll enjoy last week come the end of the season.”
Of the winning filly, Johnston’s son and assistant Charlie said: “We thought the trip and track would suit and although she got a dream run up the inner, she still had to go through with it. She's versatile regarding the ground and we'll target some black type. There's a Listed race at Newbury this month and there's the option of going abroad."
