Colin Tizzard is spoilt for exciting novice hurdlers this season and Fiddlerontheroof confirmed he fits in the top bracket with an impressive win in the Tolworth Hurdle.

The Supreme would appear the obvious destination but Tizzard also has Master Debonair to consider and a quick peek through the history books highlights many Tolworth winners stepping up to the intermediate trip of the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham, an entry the trainer's son and assistant Joe Tizzard confirmed Fiddlerontheroof would receive.

Arguably the most interesting takeaway from his six-length win was the switch to slightly more patient tactics, with Robbie Power settling the six-year-old behind the leaders rather than making all as he did over the Tolworth course and distance last month.
