Champs Inblue owner Cox heaps praise on Phelan as Gordon suns himself
Owner Paul Cox was thrilled after Champs Inblue's victory
Trainer Chris Gordon was sunning himself near Windermere, but had to share the praise with Champs Inblue's former trainer Pat Phelan after the gelding stayed on strongest in the 1m3½f handicap.
The son of Champs Elysees was this year switched to Gordon by owner Paul Cox, who had nothing but kind words for the Epsom-based Phelan.
"I've got to split the credit for this horse," explained Cox, an electrical contractor from Sussex.
