He took the bold move to try his hand as a trainer at the age of 62 and just 13 days into his new career Roger Fell was able to celebrate his first victory.

Caspian Prince, a scorer for two other trainers this season, displayed blistering pace to see off five rivals in the feature event of Musselburgh's final Flat meeting of the year.

The 4-1 chance, ridden by Connor Beasley, was never headed and had enough to spare to hold Glenrowan Rose by one and a quarter lengths in the 5f conditions event.
