Camacho continues superb season as Lorton claims valuable sales race

Julie Camacho enjoyed another big winner in what's been her standout year as a trainer as a piercing late run from Lorton was enough to claim the valuable Tattersalls October Auction Stakes.

Worth around 20 times more than the prize she took for winning at Redcar last time out, the daughter of Sepoy charged home on the nearside to deny bottomweight Time For Bed for the £63,000 first prize.

Camacho, who was adding to her best tally of winners for a season and bagged her first Group prize with Judicial in July, said: "It's been a great season and that's made it even better. She's very tough and she's been a grand filly for us.
