Callum Rodriguez could hardly be riding higher were he on board one of the reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh.
Losing his claim in September has not stopped the young jockey's rise – far from it – and he approaches Christmas at the top of his game with nine winners from 14 rides in the last eight days.
Fresh from two victories at Newcastle on Wednesday evening, Rodriguez went one better with a treble on the Keith Dalgleish-trained Handsome Bob, Mininggold from the Michael Dods yard and the Ronald Thompson-trained Mr Strutter.
