Winning jockey Lucy Alexander and Rachael McDonald produced a tremendous finish to the 3m2f chase as 6-1 chance and recent Carlisle winner Calivigny pipped evens favourite Geronimo by a head.

Nick Alexander, who trains the winner, said: "I thought he might win and I didn't think he was a 6-1 chance. He hated the ground at Carlisle and hopefully he can win again now we know he stays."

The Kinneston handler and his daughter completed a double as well-regarded Elvis Mail romped away with the novice hurdle.
