Busy Valour thrives on his schedule as he lands Listed race

Johnny Murtagh was a bit worried that running True Valour so soon after his creditable effort in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot may have taken its toll, but the well-named son of Kodiac was on top form, getting the better of a very close finish to the Listed Dubai Duty Millennium Millionaire Celebration Stakes.

It was a race where a lot of things could have gone wrong as Shane Foley attempted to chart a course on the inner in the straight and a fair bit of luck in running looked as if it would be needed.

But in the end the gaps seemed to come almost too well as Foley probably got there a bit sooner than he might have liked, but it didn't really matter as he held on well to score by half a length and a neck from favourite Sea Wolf and the returning Alexios Komnenos.
