Bushypark landed a huge gamble in the concluding 2m4f handicap hurdle, returning the 7-4 favourite after being available at 16-1 in the morning.

The six-year-old had been defeated by a combined 196 lengths in his four previous starts for trainer Philip Kirby but looked a totally different proposition here, cruising home for an 11-length success.

Pushed into an early lead by Thomas Dowson, the Irish point-to-point winner was in a different class to his rivals and proved a mark of 83 to be well beneath his abilities.
