Having won less than £6,000 for wins at Newcastle on his debut and the Median Auction event here, Parnassian will go for a much bigger pot next time out.

His target is the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Stakes on Longines Irish Champion Weekend at the Curragh next month.

The son of Elazaam was bought as a yearling at the company's sales arena by Karl Burke for €34,000 last autumn, and has proved a shrewd purchase. After an impressive win on Newcastle's Tapeta earlier in the month, he followed up in style under capable apprentice Clifford Lee on Monday.
