Buick vows to battle on in jockeys' title fight after Loxley lands Listed spoils

William Buick is refusing to give up any faint chance he has of securing his first Flat jockeys' championship and he vowed to fight on after Loxley landed the Floodlit Stakes.

Buick remained 11 winners behind leader Oisin Murphy with success in the 1m4f Listed feature on Loxley, who bounced back to his best form that saw him land the Group 2 Dubai City of Gold in March.

"It was a very messy race, but he had the gears to win. He made up a lot of ground," Buick told Racing TV. "He's a very talented horse and it's lovely to get him back on track.
