Bryony Frost and Hollie Doyle star on unique International Women's Day card

After a victory at last year's Cheltenham Festival, jockey Rachael Blackmore responded to a question referencing her sex by saying the time had come to stop differentiating between the exploits of male and female jockeys.

That was very much the continuing message two days before the start of the 2020 festival as Southwell staged a unique mixed card exclusive to female jockeys to mark International Women's Day.

Blackmore stayed closer to home at Naas before jump racing's biggest week of the year, but Bryony Frost, who pipped her Irish counterpart by a day when becoming the first woman to ride a Grade 1 winner over jumps at the Cheltenham Festival in last year's Ryanair Chase on Frodon, was one of the star attractions.
