High-class sprinter Libranno enjoyed a breakthrough victory as a sire - with a little help from the vet.

Having won races such as the Richmond Stakes, July Stakes, Criterion Stakes and Park Stakes before going to stud in 2014, Libranno had his first winner when Fortunate Vision got up close home in the 6f nursery under Tom Eaves.

Fortunate Vision had managed no better than third previously but trainer David Brown said: "I always thought a lot of him but he had little niggly troubles and he got colty so I gelded him.
