'Brilliant' Movethechains continues track domination with another easy success
Tuesday: Lingfield
The in-form Movethechains continued his incredible love affair with Lingfield when recording a fourth wide-margin win at the track in succession with a dominant victory in the 2m7½f novice handicap chase.
The eight-year-old had won by a combined 48 lengths on his three previous successes at the Surrey track and eased to a 14-length victory in the day's feature under Jamie Moore to bring up the four-timer.
Winning trainer Gary Moore said: "He went through the ground better than the rest of them. We're very lucky to have him, he's a brilliant horse.
"He runs here a lot because the races we wanted to target with him meant we had to come here. He's never really been any further away in the country than Lingfield for us!
"He'll have to go somewhere else now – it's a long time before you can turn horses out."
Movethechain's win was the second leg of a double for the trainer, having landed the opening 2m conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle with the Caoilin Quinn-ridden Hit The Rocks.
Snuff too tough
Snuff Box proved best in the testing conditions once again when a game winner of the 3m4½f handicap chase.
Four of his five career wins under rules have come on heavy ground and the Venetia Williams-trained 11-year-old backed up his Bangor victory last time with a front-running nine-length success.
Silver service
James Best sent his mother-in-law and owner Celia Djivanovic home happy after he guided My Silver Lining to success in the 2m novice hurdle.
