Brian Hughes rides 551-1 four-timer to make early title-race move
Reigning champion Brian Hughes opened up an early lead in the jump jockeys' title race after riding a 551-1 four-timer.
The season may be in its infancy but Hughes has found his stride in recent days, with the four winners following on from his treble at Cartmel on Sunday.
Hughes started the day level with Adam Wedge at the top of jockeys' table, but finished out on his own on 11 winners. Four-time champion Richard Johnson, who sat out yet another meeting but is booked for one ride at Southwell on Thursday, is on four winners.
