Young conditional rider Conor Brassil has made a big impression this season and the reward of a job with trainer-of-the-moment Gordon Elliott was quick to pay dividends here.

He started as a conditional with Elliott just over a week ago and didn't let his boss down as he partnered Roi Des Francs to a convincing victory in the featured 3m2f conditions chase.

Roi Des Francs, who beat both Sub Lieutenant and Pont Alexandre as a novice but had shown little trace of that form all season, found this softer contest to his liking and had little trouble accounting for the consistent Sizing Coal by seven lengths.
