Brandy Station puts Coyle's career back on track

After 205 days without a winner, during which he had thought about quitting, trainer Tony Coyle was all smiles after ending the drought with Brandy Station in the 5f juvenile novice.

Coyle bought the Barry McHugh-ridden winner for just £8,000 at Doncaster as a yearling and, although he was sent off at 33-1 following an inauspicious debut, he was by no means unfancied having been backed down from 66-1 .

Coyle, who trains the winner for Morecool Racing, said: "It was a long winter and I got a bit fed up with it and thought about packing it in. But I'm fine now, I'll keep tipping away.
