Runners from the County Derry yard of Noel Kelly ridden by Sean Bowen are a winning formula and the trainer-jockey combination took their record to 3-3 when Hear No Evil landed the feature 3m novice chase in gritty style.

The Patrick Joseph McCartan-owned eight-year-old backed up a handicap chase triumph at Wetherby in October with a neck success in the £11,800 event.

Hear No Evil, formerly owned by John Magnier, was bought out of Dan Skelton’s yard for £8,500 at the Goffs UK January sale this year and was a tenth winner from 35 rides in the last fortnight for Bowen.
