Amy Murphy added a first juvenile winner to her burgeoning CV as the Newmarket trainer completed an inaugural across-the-card Flat double courtesy of Blessed To Empress’ debut success in the 5f fillies’ novice auction stakes.

Murphy, who enjoyed victory at Nottingham in the afternoon with Thaqaffa, notched her first two-year-old scorer at just the second attempt with the daughter of Holy Roman Emperor, owned by White Diamond Racing, making most under Lemos de Souza.

After gaining her licence in August, Murphy saddled seven winners from 31 runners in her first jumps season, including Listed chase success with Kalane at Doncaster and a notable bumper victory with Kalashnikov at Wetherby, while Blessed To Empress’ triumph marked her fifth winner from 22 runners on the Flat.
