Black back on familiar territory to celebrate victory with Ralph's Star

It was a tale of the Seymours on the final day of racing for the first season back at Hereford as Tommy Black, whose name is in the course's folklore for owning the final winner before its closure in Seymour Eric, enjoyed further success when the history maker’s half-brother Seymour Star landed the 2m5½f novice hurdle.

Black, along with Ten Out Of Ten Racing, owned the last winner on the track’s final raceday in December 2012 and this time shared victory with part-owner Sue Briscoe.

Black, who lives locally in Worcestershire, said: “Hereford has certainly been a lucky place for us. I think we’ll be back again!
