Henderson star easy to confuse for Altior

Sir Anthony McCoy, on punditry duty for ITV, and Sky Sports Racing's Alex Hammond were both guilty of slips of the tongue when uttering the name Altior instead of Shishkin before the latter's run in the Lightning Novices' Chase at Doncaster, but it is a forgivable mistake, especially when you consider how exciting the red-hot Arkle favourite is.

Trainer Nicky Henderson must thank his lucky stars that, as the mighty Altior's light appears to be dimming, he can call on another talented two-miler, who barely got out of second gear when strolling to victory under an impressed Nico de Boinville.
