It has been a very slow-moving season for Caledon trainer Andy Oliver, but it moved up a considerable notch when he carded a double at Gowran Park on Saturday.

Oliver was quick to assure all that he didn't name Big Ego after himself but in reference to the imposing size of the son of Helmet.

The three-year-old had to be tough to see it out and land the 1m4f handicap in the hands of Leigh Roche, especially as the wandering favourite Less Of That took him out towards the centre of the track.
