Ben times it right in the famous Johnson silks to win for Pipe

The well-known blue and green colours of the late champion owner David Johnson were back in the winner's circle at the Devon circuit after Timeforben grittily landed the 3m2½f handicap hurdle.

Winning trainer David Pipe explained: “The mare runs for the Bravo Partnership, which is a syndicate put together by David Reid, who was a very good friend of DJ.

“Unfortunately he couldn't be here this afternoon to see her win as he's away on holiday, but he was soon on the phone after the race and couldn't be happier that she's managed to win again.”
