Agincourt Reef cost trainer Roger Teal just £3,000 at Ascot sales last November, and has proved a bargain buy. The the eight-year-old won for the third time in Teal's colours when scooting clear to land the 2m4½f handicap chase by ten lengths.

Teal said: "He was a steal. I really liked him, I know he had suffered from leg trouble, but he looked a nice horse. That's the third time he's won for us, he's won around £17,000 since I bought him. I think he likes it in our small yard, he thinks he is top dog.
