Banditry may have been robbed of a decent prize at Doncaster on Saturday but the four-year-old got his reward in the shape of the not inconsiderable sum of £29,000 in the day's feature.

Connections are still considering appealing against the Doncaster stewards' decision not to promote him despite being stopped in his run by the winner and being beaten just a nose.

Winning owners Ruth Ruthven and Jimmy Hanifin who make up the Buxted Partnership used to have horses with Terry Mills, including the useful Buxted.
