Shadn appreciated a return to six furlongs as the filly bounced back from disappointment at Royal Ascot to capture the Listed Rose Bowl Stakes at Newbury for Andrew Balding.

The mount of Oisin Murphy travelled well throughout and stayed on inside the final furlong to defeat Misty Grey by three-quarters of a length.

Having romped home a comfortable winner on her debut at Kempton last month, Shadn dropped back to five furlongs in the Queen Mary Stakes but failed to make an impact, finishing 13th behind Raffle Prize.
