Jo Foster reached another joyous landmark in her recovery from a broken back when welcoming her first winner on course.

The trainer underwent a long, hard rehabilitation after suffering the injury in a fall at her West Yorkshire yard last year and was only able to go racing again this summer.

She was delighted to be present as Canny Style, picked up for 5,000gns at Newmarket sales last month, took division one of the 2m1f handicap hurdle under Nathan Moscrop.
