Art Power primed to venture into Group 1 company after impressive win

The progressive Art Power continued his rise up the sprint rankings, and entries in races like the July Cup and Nunthorpe Stakes could well be taken up after a taking success in the Group 3 Coolmore Sioux Nation Lacken Stakes for Tim Easterby.

The second leg of a closing stakes double for Colin Keane, the son of Dark Angel – the first British-trained winner in Ireland since racing resumed – travelled smoothly in the centre of the track and quickened up well to readily account for Cheveley Park Stakes winner and Commonwealth Cup fifth Millisle.

"He's a lovely horse, very relaxed and he picked up very sharp. He's very straightforward. He felt like a Group 1 horse. He has a lot of speed and he has a great mind to go with it, for a sprinter especially," said Keane.
